KKK Leaflets Indiana Neighborhood
The KKK might be small, but their hate groups are still working hard in the US.
Some Martinsville residents had a free paper left in their neighborhood driveways Wednesday that depicted racist undertones and appeared to be produced by the Ku Klux Klan.
Although it was free, the paper was one residents didn’t ask for and didn’t want, 6News’ Rick Hightower reported.
According to the publication, called the “Crusader,” it was produced out of Harrison, Ark. Residents said they are curious about how the paper found its way into their Martinsville neighborhood.
One resident said he doesn’t want the paper to give Shireman Estates neighborhood a bad name.
“I’ve never seen any indication of prejudiced people,” said Dennis Hartzler, a Martinsville resident.
Hartzler said he usually just tosses free papers away, but when he picked up the “Crusader,” he couldn’t believe some of the things it said and the pictures it showed of young children spewing hatred.
“It’s somebody ignorant throwing the stuff out here, but I don’t know if it’s somebody local or somebody from another community doing it, but it’s sad, I guess,” Hartzler said.
Hartzler said he believes the paper came from someone just trying to stir up trouble in the Morgan County town by creating racial tension that residents don’t condone.
